Our "theory" courses are taught in class or online but include a strong practical and simulation component.
For example the RYA First Aid course include CPR simulations and the use of cenarios. The Professional Practices and Responsibilities (PPR) course includes real cases and aplications to solve. The navigation courses (RYA Essential Navigation and Seamanship, RYA Day Skipper Shorebased or RYA Yachtmaster Shorebased) are based on practical exercises and chart work. The VHF-SRC course includes de use of simulators and practical use of DSC.
The figure below shows the training scheme of the Navigation Shorebased Courses, which support the practical RYA Sail and RYA Powerboat levels.
