With the “RYA Sail Cruising” scheme you’re able to do the "RYA Start Yachting", "RYA Competent Crew", "RYA Day Skipper", "RYA Coastal Skipper" levels or adventure yourself into one of the Yachtmaster ® (Coastal ou Offshore) exams.
Other options available include our beginners courses in 7,5m sailing boats (keelboats/daysailors) in 2 possible levels - Level 1 or Level 2 as well as in our innovating system of "Flexible Outings" - a totally flexible voucher system that allows you to keep sailing and learn whenever you want to.
With more knowledge about navigation, meteorology, trimming, safety and seamanship you will certainly enjoy much more your days afloat. Get your internationally recognized certificate and enjoy a bot of holidays at the same time!
Keelboats
This is a great solution to start sailing and experience going afloat. If not for the lower costs involved, these boats are very sensitive at the helm, safe and very well equipped for a first experience on the water. Our training in keelboats stands out for offering a ratio student-instructor of 3:1 (although we can accommodate groups with a ratio of 4:1). This way we can guarantee that everybody receives adequate attention and time to practice while learning faster and more consistently. |
This courses are given in two consecutive full days during the week or at the weekend (09h30am to 05h30pm). Yet, there are other available options like 2 full days (2 consecutive Saturdays or Sundays from 09h30am to 05h30pm), 4 late afternoons during Summer (06h00pm to 09h30pm) or even 4 half-day classes (09h30am to 01h30pm or 02h00pm to 06h00pm, Saturdays or Sundays)).
To support the learning process all students receive a sailing manual (e-book) especially elaborated for the boats in which they’re sailing and even get access to a restricted area of the site with E-Learning knowledge in order to complement the practical training..
RYA Sail Cruising Scheme
Benefit from the Worlds' best program of yacht cruising courses.
These courses are part of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Sail Cruising Scheme that is available around the world. The program comprises a series of complementary practical (on board a yacht) and shorebased courses (class based or by distance learning).
You can work through the system step by step or enter the program at any stage according to your knowledge and experience.
There are no requirements to start the basic levels of the "RYA Start Yachting" or "RYA Competent Crew". However, for the following levels ("RYA Day Skipper", "RYA Coastal Skipper", Yachtmaster ®) it’s already necessary to have some previous experience and/or the previous course levels.
Also, if you need more background knowledge, it's better to follow a ("Shorebased") course first, that you can follow in class or by distance learning, and then the corresponding practical course. You will simply benefit more from the practical course if you have the suggested background knowledge and that way you’ll have more chances of getting the so much wanted certificate.
Whether you have never been on a boat and would like to find out what yachting is about or you are an experienced offshore skipper aspiring to become a Yachtmaster®, we will get you there in an enjoyable and professional way.
