The Go Sailing Program is for those who are looking for a first sailing experience but at the same time wish to learn some basic sailing navigation knowledge participating in the handling of the boat and some rope work, fundamental for sailing.
The experience is quite similar to one of the first classes of the beginners course with a theoretical briefing followed by sailing navigation with the practice of some maneuvers.

Programe
Throughout the experience participants have a first contact with the basic terms of nautical nomenclature and get to know the different points of sailing: Close Reach, Beam Reach and Broad Reach;Still, you’ll practice some of the main knots used on board (bowline, the figure of eight, clove hitch, sheet bend) and participate in all the maneuvers of the boat (tacking and gybing)
Participants can take part on a sailing lesson in progress, joining the remaining students learning sailing or, in alternative, join specific days dedicated to this program.

Boats
The Go Sailing Program usually takes place on coastal keelboats up to 7.5m with 4 students and an instructor on board or yachts of 10-12 meters long with 7 students and instructor on board.Our G7.25 are usually the chosen option for this program.

Location
Oeiras Yachting Harbor offers access to an outstanding water plan. It offers modern infrastructure with restaurants, shops, showers, parking and boatyard all in a stunning location between Lisbon and Cascais.
Around the marina, you will find several high quality beaches, and ocean swimming-pool and a cycle path by the water.
Its strategic location at the mouth of the river Tagus allows you to experience the Atlantic or otherwise look for the more protected and tidal waters of the river.
It's proximity to Cascais and Lisbon (about 6nm each) as well as the quick exit towards the south for destinations like Sesimbra are also a solid advantage.
